Jaime Martinez

Jaime Martinez was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts and the American Dance Machine in New York. He was a founding member of the Parsons Dance Company and has been a regular performer since 1985. He has taught over four hundred master classes, including residencies at the famous Juilliard School, and has staged numerous works by companies such as Le Ballet du Rhin, Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, Carte Blanche Dance Company of Norway, Ballet National de Nancy, Pennsylvania Ballet, New York City Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, and Roland Petit Ballet National de Marseille. He is a recipient of a New York Dance and Performance Bessie Award.
